Elections and Voting
The Longhills Village Property Owner's Association (LHVPOA) Board of Directors are elected by the property owners of the Longhills Village Subdivision to serve as the governing body of the LHVPOA. Elections are held annually in April. If you have any questions, please notify a member of the Nomination Committee (see below).

Who may run for a Board of Director position?
A candidate must be a member of the LHVPOA in good standing as defined by the Bill of Assurance and LHVPOA By-Laws.
How does a potential candidate get their name on the ballot?
There are two ways to get on the ballot: Be nominated by the LHVPOA nomination committee or submit a petition signed by 20 members of the LHVPOA in good standing. All nominations and or petitions must be submitted two (2) weeks prior to the delivery of the ballots to the POA membership.

How does the voting process work?
- Paper ballots will be printed and delivered to all LHVPOA members in good standing 30 days prior to the annual neighborhood meeting.
- All ballots must be fully completed and returned to the LHVPOA Nomination Committee no later than the called time of the annual neighborhood meeting.
- Ballots may be mailed to our post office box or returned in person at the annual neighborhood meeting.
- Each lot gets one (1) vote, meaning each physical address (each home) gets one (1) vote.
- Any ballot not meeting qualifications will be disqualified and not counted (see Article V, Section 2 of the By-Laws).
